Cord Keepsake
Pickup & delivery*
The TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) inspired method uses ginger and lemon in filtered water to infuse warmth into the placenta. It is said in traditional Chinese culture that a woman experiences an imbalance of yin (cold) and yang (warmth) after the birth of a child. This imbalance is restored by keeping the mother warm through nourishing meals and warm drinks.
The start of the process involves gently steaming the placenta in a non-toxic stainless steel saucepan/steamer. Steaming the placenta using food safe temperatures is known to aid in a sufficient reduction of bacteria.
Choose this method for a soothing effect on feelings of anxiousness.
dehydrating
After the initial prep stage, thin slices of the placenta are cut to allow for even drying in a dehydrator at 75°c for 12+ hours.
Once thoroughly dry, a high speed blender is used to grind the placenta into a powder for easy consumption in capsules.

Choose from pure gelatin capsules or 100% vegetable (pullulan) capsules. Both capsule options are naturally made and free from preservatives, artificial colours, GMO’s and gluten.
Capsules are filled with your placenta powder only.

Each milky package includes a delicate cord keepsake to remind you of the intrinsic connection between yourself and your baby. Preserved through the drying process with your placenta and stored in a dedicated memory box.
